Death's Door (PC)

Didn't know what to really expect going into it, just heard them talk about it on MinnMax one day and daggum it's a pretty great game.

Kind of like Nanis said, the lack of map is the only thing I really dislike, but honestly after going through a zone I had the areas down pretty well on how to find stuff. Not sure if I'll hit 100%, but gonna try. Currently at 94.8%, but the rest requires collecting & planting all the seeds and that sounds like hell

Forgot to post about Ghost of Tsushima

Loved the story and the progression in this one. The map was way too huge for me though!

Star Fox 64 3D
Beat as part of the GotM thing. Wasn't sure about it at first, but I ended up really liking it. It's short, but has a ton of replayability.

Gears of War 3 (XBO | Gamepass)

Meh. I'm not a fan of straight shooters, which I've mentioned before, but the changes between 1-3 are really minor between games, so they all felt the same. The main difference in this one being that the enemies were even spongier than usual...

Also seems you either love it or hate it.

I will support Carto since I have had it downloaded on my XB1 for months.

I will also support Quantum Conundrum since Abacus bought it for me, and I feel like every time they get on GameFAQs each day, they head straight for the GotM topics hoping to find me supporting it. They find out that I haven't so they quietly sob to themselves, ruining the rest of their day.

I was, it's been crushing my spirit every day I hadn't seen the KCF support, but now my day has been made! I can throw away the sweater made of tears that I was making.

I figure there's enough differences to consider it a separate (albeit short) game

Bowsers Fury (Switch)
I really enjoyed this mode, and enjoyed it a ton more than 3D world itself. Being open, and allowing you to go from Shine to Shine immediately without much delay was nice - one of my issues with Sunshine and Galaxy was that it would kick you out of the maps.

Been forever since I've beaten a game it feels like, but I have two now.

The Last of US 2 (PS4)
It's not nearly as bad as everyone online made it out to seem. The story was all right. Not great, but not terrible. The gameplay was great though - I love stealth games so it scratched that itch pretty well.

Super Mario 3D World (Switch)
I didn't like the locked camera, and I wish it were more like a traditional 3D Mario, but overall I really enjoyed it. The levels felt unique, I really like the Cat powerup and the different playable characters. I swapped between Mario and Luigi until I was able to play as Rosalina.

3D Mario game rankings (of the ones I've played): Odyssey > Galaxy > 3D World > Sunshine > SM64

Yep, that's it. You'll have to play wired, so the cord may feel a bit too short, but it works.

Other than big picture mode there shouldn't be any more steps, but if there is it just involves going to the settings and changing the controller configuration to the Switch Pro controller which you can find a step by step guide fairly easily

I'm not much of a PC gamer, like, at all. But this seems too good to pass up and risk waiting for a sale on a console that might not happen. How complicated is it to get a Switch Pro Controller working on Steam? How about Steam Link? (This sure would be an opportunity for me to actually use that)

If you have the USB to usb-c it's pretty streamlined, Steam supports pretty much any controller. Though you may have to play in big picture mode. I used my Switch Pro controller for a long while on it.

Fargo (1996) - Despite the Coen brothers being in my top 3 directors, and hearing a ton about it, I've never watched it. It was a hoot and a half! 9/10

So, first off the cast all did a great job. It was weird seeing William Macy and Steve Buscemi in the roles they had, but they fit. The movie did a great job with the humor sprinkled throughout and the deadpan style had me chuckling throughout. The story was compelling, and as usual I loved the filmography. I do feel like some could have been cut, like when Marge went to see Yanagita but overall it was a very tight experience. I question Jerry's plan on what his plan was, and how he thought it would all work from his mysterious borrowing 300,000 for cars that he didn't have to hiring the kidnappers.

Rankings for overall Coen brothers movies I've watched: No Country for Old Men > Fargo > Big Lebowski > The Ballad of Buster Scruggs > O Brother, Where Art Thou? > Hail, Caesar! > True Grit > A Serious Man

I also went ahead and watched Willys Wonderland since I was going to do that anyway. I wasn't going to talk about it, but since Snake did, I will too!

Willy's Wonderland - 8/10
It's pure dumb fun. I loved pretty much every minute of it. Like Snake said, it knew what it was and didn't try to be anything else. If you watched any trailers, the movie was basically that, but elongated. Nick Cage whoopin' ass and playin' pinball. It had some of the silliest gags I've seen in a while, and some quotes I'm definitely going to be using at somepoint like "Gorilla Greetings!"

I tried starting up 45 Years and just wasn't feeling it at the time... Maybe eventually!

as far as official versions go, Willy's Wonderland is available for rent on amazon prime, microsoft store, fandangonow for $20

Weird they didn't announce that previously. Also think it's on Vudu? The main reason I recommended it was I was going to watch it tonight regardless haha.

Other than that all of the other noms were ones I've wanted to see for a long time. I was kind of surprised to see Into the Woods get so many noms! Figured that any Willy's Wonderland would have the least.

The big enemies always took me a few tries. I recommend the ability that lets you notch multiple arrows and the one where time slows when you jump. I always thought stealth was pretty much useless against large machines outside of the first stealth hit.

Finally finished In Bruge and Thoroughbreds!

In Bruge: 8/10

I'm not super thoughtful and deep/have a hard time finding the theme and symbolism so have no idea how people got to the heaven/hell aspect. But that's something I'm used to. Overall I enjoyed it. Seeing Ray feel bad and how sad he was made me do a 180 on how I felt about him. Ken was great, I loved him. The movie got 10x better when Harry came into the picture. Him and Ken talking at the table and at the bell tower was definitely my favorite part(s)

Thoroughbreds 9/10

The camera work was amazing. I loved all the close up and plain shots that the movie had. It worked so well. The music accompanying it did an amazing job setting the atmosphere. All of the actors did phenomenal with their more emotionless/straight faced shots. Anton Yelchin was superb, and it makes me sad that this is his final film. Also, again I like the idea where there is no real comeuppance for the main character. Though I never quite understood why she wanted to kill Mark.

I'm planning to watch Lost in Translation tonight or tomorrow, but you know how that goes.

One punch man basically becomes chicken scratch art wise after a point and the story isn't quite as good after the anime.

This is just not true in the slightest.

I would say OPM. The art is amazing, and the story is pretty cool - though the current arc is a bit dragged out.

It depends on the game, I guess. But generally an hour is no problem, I'll shrug and redo it.

In FF6 I lost like 2-3 hours of progress twice, but still went through it.

In Thief 2 my game had a glitch where I would have had to restart. I was half way through and just said screw it and never went back.
