hey guys Sean Newcomb lost his no-hitter on his last pitch thrown, but then we found out he's a massive bigot

I mean, he's on the right team for it.

It's like when my Trump-supporting friends would say "Well I doubt your life is going to be affected that much". Great way to show how much you really care about people. Some just can't see outside of their own bubble I guess

Edit: I should say, that's a reasonable way to console somebody who is upset about the election, but it's pretty dumb IMO to just vote based on your own self-interests when your life is already pretty good

People said this about Doug Ford, and he's already using overreach to change the voting map of Toronto for the worse, so whoever thought that should go fuck themselves.

More importantly, he blew a save to my cousin.

Socky, if there's a Fernando Rodney bobblehead night, can you get me one?

Anyways, Milwaukee is, from what I've read, pretty racist. I'm not surprised that a white fanbase would celebrate him for "standing up to the libs" or whatever.

I've had that. I remember running into a dude I knew in high school about 2-3 years out, and he let me know that he had a 'business proposition' (which should set off alarms right there, but I was young and desperate for a job). Get to a coffee shop with this group of 4-5 people, and this dude starts talking about selling this self-help package. Really wish I had the confidence to just throw my hands up and leave after that, because I sat there for an hour.

The Kawhi trade is weird at best. I can't help but think the way management went about the whole thing is going to hurt the Raptors the most long term. It should have been easy enough to be honest to DeMar, and let him know that you couldn't rule out trading him.

Anyways, the Raptors should probably flip him in a three-way trade immediately.

That's fair. My beard grows outwards, so I have to trim to keep it in line with my hair no matter what. I tend to keep some length on the top when I do get a haircut, and trim the sides short, so I usually trim my face to match, while keeping some length towards the chin.

I'm going to find a new barber before my brother's wedding though, so I might go for a fuller trim there. I need suggestions on what new to do with my hair.

When I shaved my face on a daily basis, I used razors. Right now, I trim, although my beard is at the longest I'm willing to keep it.

Expanding on this: I still use razors to edge my beard around the neck and cheeks as well.

On the subject of position players pitching, Alex Blandino looked good:
https://deadspin.com/wednesday-night-blowouts-produce-a-bonanza-of-position-1827532310

1 inning, 2 strikeouts, and only one hit allowed? Not bad. But being able to throw a 68 mph curve, and then go to a 90 mph fastball is a bit bonkers for a position player.

I've been there, and it's pretty scary. It's why I don't drink nearly as often as I did. I wasn't in the alcoholic stage, mind you, but blacking out and vomiting in a bar is a terrible experience that really makes you wonder about your own choices.

I think people do it multiple times a week to drown out different things. Either different negative voices or situations. Or they just like being rowdy. People are weird and complicated.

I'm glad to hear you are alright though.

And let's be real, there's almost no chance that both of them won't be injured by the playoffs

If the Raptors win it all, do they go and meet with the prime minister?

I was curious about this, but there's no real precedent. I can't find if the 1992-93 Jays visited Parliament Hill (they visited the White House, but Bush Sr. was a massive baseball fan so this doesn't surprise me). I would default to yes, solely because I can't see any NBA team visiting the White House with this administration, and the Raptors have the easiest out of any team.

By the way: the fact that I had to go all the way back to 1992 tells you that we likely won't have an answer about this for a while.
