Monsters Inc is a very good movie, might be my second fave Pixar film

LEGO Movie is alright, LEGO Movie 2 really helped highlight some of its shortcomings I think. It's self aware and that's pretty funny but that doesn't elevate it to the status of an all-time cinematic classic, which is backed up by the middling performance of 2 in theaters.

I had originally bet on Hawkeye getting to be the main character/leader of the Thunderbolts, I think that would bring more casual viewers in and would be a better angle for the story. It would be a stronger tie to the Avengers franchise too; having Hawkeye in the center of the poster would be a way bigger draw than...

Alright I realized Red Hulk would be in the center of the poster otherwise and I think casuals would eat that shit up so idk now

You'd definitely get Ghost and Songbird, and I assume William Hurt would be game to do Ross but idk if he'd go the extra mile and be on set and do all the Rulk mocap and stuff like Ruffalo does for Hulk

If we get Rulk I don't think we'd get Abomination, I also don't know if Marvel wants to draw any more attention to Incredible Hulk cuz it feels basically abandoned outside of William Hurt getting to cameo in a few movies

Sam Rockwell might be too busy or expensive at this point to be Justin Hammer but money talks

Maybe they'd throw Moonstone in too? I'd want Vulture personally but Michael Keaton can't just be "another dude on the team" imo

I think it's absolutely ridiculous to be on her side, the dude was perfectly content in his life, then some girl just tries to force her way into it and is upset when he chooses living the life he made for himself over making her happy. She should be thrilled that he's trying to open up for her at all, the dude goes out of his way to include her even after she causes him to get injured for the first time in seven years.

If this were a piece of actual fiction people would hate the girlfriend character.

i'll stop ranting about Free Solo now it wasn't really that awful, it probably would have had no dramatic tension at all in it without the nagging girlfriend and would have been like 40 minutes shorter otherwise

Saw Free Solo today, was really underwhelmed. The climb was super cool and no doubt a huge accomplishment but the documentary felt really bland and uninspired. The dude's girlfriend was also super annoying.

Mind the Gap should have won best doc.
