The stories that stick out to me are wealthy Japanese businsessmen adopting smart young people as their new son to take over the company because their biological son is a disappointment.

Different cultures but that always felt weird to me on multiple levels.

I believe a moon near Jupiter is the actual closest place for us to inhabit. It gets cosmic radiation protection from Jupiter and Jupiter also gives it gravity. Can't remember the name of the moon. I want to say Titan but I could be just thinking of the movie lol

Or Europa. I think that is the moon that has an ocean under the surface ice. I wonder if people could live in underwater stations on Europa

In our solar system. But we have detected planets with water in other systems. We even apparently found an ocean planet. Not sure how they can tell but I heard it supposedly has zero land. Just an entire world of ocean

I heard once about a plan to send a probe to another system and go into orbit around a planet there. It might have been called Project Slingshot or Longshot. Its expected to take decades though I believe. I think it would take decades just to reach the planet. And then sending data back takes years for it to reach Earth. A lot of people on CE might not even live long enough to see the results. Even if it was launched tomorrow

The lady shows the footage like 3 minutes in. ICE arrested a father and his daughter was in the back seat. Agents then get in the car (without dad, he's being taken somewhere else) and drive off, armed thugs in a car alone with a little girl who doesn't understand what is happening. And mom was there but they wouldn't let her get in the car or let the daughter leave the car. They kept the child for hours until finally they let mom reunite with her

Your 2nd one brings up one problem. Existed. When you consider time and space from our perspective unless They are currently alive there won't be anything there. Light or signals left them long ago.

Now you could say in the timeline of the universe how long would a civilization last. Hundreds of thousands? Millions or even Billions of years. Our estimated time for the edge of the universe is upwards of 15 billion years now. Theres going to be a time where there was no organic compunds to develop. Lets say 8 or 10 billion years ago is a good estimate. We know that life on earth started about 1 billion years after creation. So we can correlate that on the low side 7 million years life starts. Its taken 3.3 billion years for intelligent life on earth to show up that we know of. So that 7 billion becomes mid 3 billion.. Now we know the rate of expansion of the universe from our prespective. IntellIgent life has a very small chance to still exsist within that time span. A civilization excaping a single planet is rare. One extinction event or killing themselves away from going poof. How many did that happen to? So I think intellengent life is exceedling rare. You might have 2 or 3 in our galaxy other than us that already lived and died. We will never know because we cant physically explore. There is also billions and billions of stars. You would never find them. They would have to leave a huge sign pointing we are here. So the Dark forest theory is mostly true. We are alone.

What about less intelligent life though? Like planets of just animals no advanced intelligent species comparable to humans?

Yep. Ive seen the video. Someone actually was filming when it happened and they caught the moment. I am pretty sure it was an accident but the agents wanted to put the blame on her. So they kidnapped her. She probably only got released because of the video

To me it's always been weird to me to question the very existence of aliens. With how infinitely massive the universe is, the idea that we are the only evolved form of life in it is ludicrous. The real thing should be questioning if they've visited us, which lol no.

I think its 2 main types of deniers

1. Religious people have a big problem with alien life existing. It potentially brings up a lot of uncomfortable questions for them

2. People who confuse aliens coming to earth to aliens simply existing in the universe. I think some people who say they don't believe in aliens really mean they just don't think they have come here.

My theory is now Japan is starting to have politicians who played video games as kids. Before, the government was probably all run by older generations who didn't know anything about games or anime

I don't know if region locking is still a thing. I have heard but never verified that you can for example, make a japanese switch eshop account and then buy and download digital japanese versions of games. I think you have to set your system as "being in japan" though

Just more anime and Manga and games getting localized I think. Maybe the government will pay sometimes to help companies in the process. Just to get more stuff out there. They want to make the whole world a fan of Japanese culture

In the game Civilization, it would mean Japan is aiming for a Cultural Victory

They want to give government support to companies willing to spread Japanese IPs around the world. This might mean more stuff that would otherwise not get localized might actually leave Japan. I'm interested to see how this goes
