I know it gets mixed reviews, but the idea of some entity slowly following you nonstop and assuming a random human disguise is just terrifying to me. The creepiest part of Smile to me was Near the beginning still, shortly after she gets cursed. She is in her kitchen and she sees the entity standing in a dark corner smiling at her.
