And whether or not he suffers lasting or temporary damage doesn't change the fact that it's irresponsible parenting. Like I said, I'm confident in my parenting and my son's decision-making abilities. My boy isn't worried about it. ...and YOU certainly shouldn't be worried about it. I've quit good jobs because the people around me were jerks. ...and I've done some real shit jobs, but they were great because I was working with great people. Ultimately, if you're not happy where you're at, then leave. I thought it was kinda messed up to let him see that movie That's NOT terrible parenting. I let my son play God of War III when he was a child. We watched the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre together, and other horror movies... he's an honor student in high school now, and has never been in trouble in his life. The thing is that I talk to my son about what is right and what is wrong. ...what is real and what is fantasy. I scold him when he treats people with disrespect, and praise him when he shows compassion. I've never believed in censorship or treating kids like they're incapable of understanding mature content (to some degree). I'll strike up a conversation and try to get along. It's sad that most people choose the path of least resistance.
