If your on-the-job training was about fifteen minutes, that's how soon you can be replaced.

The thing is that most jobs probably don't truly require much training to be sufficiently adequate, except for the ones that essentially expect you to already have the necessary skill set. It's really not in the general populace's best interest to support that kind of mentality so readily.

Games cost more to make, the owners of the properties probably want a much bigger cut, the biggest financial appeal is currently moble/microtransaction, THQ & Acclaim were responsible for a lot of the older ones.

I'm no astrophysicist, but I do know that will almost certainly screw up our solar system's gravitational balance, with no guarantee of how that will exactly affect Earth. Earth also would lose its buffers from random meteors. Even if we did survive that, the loss of the moon would cause massive climate shifts, most notably in the form of there no longer being tides.

I think we all knew it was coming soon, after his wife died; my grandparents went a week from each other. Expect a big tribute from the next few Marvel movies. Also, I wonder what will happen with the Webtoon project he was involved with.

In my personal experience? Not really. School is an actual meritocracy, where your success is actually based in your quantified performance, while "adult life" is mostly nepotism/cronyism, with pretexts of merit.

Just kinda been thinking about it, but zombies feed on essentially whatever creature they can get their hands on, with most settings focusing on the human aspect. Ignoring the meta fact that it wouldn't make them a big threat if they were eating each other or their own selves, it seems really reasonable that any non supernatural versions would wind up just trying to eat one another, even if you try to argue it out that they need "fresh" meat, they'd still wind up ripping apart the more recently turned. Most zombies are presented as being mentally degraded, acting more on instinct, so it seems unlikely they'd have the mental capacity to distinguish between a non zombie; only time that ever gets pointed out is in a comedic tone, such as Shaun of the Dead.

Honestly, it's mostly because deep down, people like to believe that those of high wealth got there because they worked hard & made good decisions, which means they can do it too, with enough diligence; doesn't help that there are a few rags to riches story to legitimately support it. The harsh reality is that most of the wealthy are at minimum, born into positive circumstances, if not outright living on the fruits of inheritance. If rising to the top were seriously something everyone could do with just enough hard work & good decisions, a lot more people would have done it, & the retail/fastfood industries would collapse from having their bottoms yanked out.
