You are aware of the difference between absolute numbers and percentages right, the 40k deaths are like 0.1% while this coronovirus has around 2.5% so it's at least 25 times deadlier, of course it is worrisome, this is like elementary level mathematics

I don't see what there is to lose to be more alert about viruses, like washing your hands more, take care of public hygiene, and not going to work when you are sick to avoid infecting people. Yet apparently it is fear mongering when you try to raise more awareness and publish research papers. Yes it is less dangerous than the Black Death or Spanish Flu but the point is to nip the whole thing in the bud before it becomes a bigger threat

To be fair, you had Saito's face the whole time, and that it was mentioned several times Sejima had a son. So the culprit didn't come out of the blue, but it wasn't properly foreshadowed.

And I don't think it was wrong to suspect everyone, after all their bodies were used to commit murder

I think a lot of the problems you had boiled down to it being too anime. I have high tolerance for that kind of stuff, so I didn't mind at all, but I can certainly understand why some won't like that.

Agree that the Somniums are mostly trial and error. I liked their themes and atmosphere, but they're hardly puzzles with a few exceptions. There is a bit of strategy with timies but they introduced some with ??? times which make things impossible. Luckily they don't take long I guess it's better to treat it as a way to look into the characters.

I particularly enjoyed the Annihilation route because the reveals there upended some other routes and made me look at those in a different light

Sejima did call Date son though...

That Sejima you killed in Mizukis end was actually Saito. The real one doesnt know about the body swap.

The first 'Iris' psync was very confusing, more so when I did her ShovelForge and shrine syncs on the other route and wondered how they could be so different. Everything made a lot of sense once you find out it was Saito all along.

Not a spoiler, just in case you want to think about it yourself

The most disturbing implication here is that in MIzuki/Ota's end everyone thinks they saved Iris, but it was in fact Sejima in her body missing an eye and dying of cancer. And Saito was actually Boss in Ota's end

I didnt figure out that Saito did multiple body swaps until he confessed the whole thing. So in the end of that Somnium when Date said what the hell is going on I had the same reaction

Also, this reveal changed a lot about what happened in the routes on the left side of the flowchat when you look back at it.

Nothing will come out of this. The CCP will place the blame on the provincial authorities, punish some sacrificial lambs, and those in the so-called movement will go back to singing praises of their beloved emperor Xi.

There are 20 or so cases here in HK but everyone is already on high alert and bracing for a total outbreak. The company I work at (and many others) have pretty much forced us to work from home. I have stockpiled food and face masks at home and only go out every 2 or 3 days. Call us paranoid but no one is taking any chances after SARS.

This wouldnt have happened if the government hadnt refused to close all the borders and now we have at least 10k people coming in from China daily. There are lots of conspiracies going around that they are intentionally letting an outbreak happen in retaliation to all the protests last year.

So yeah Im basically becoming a shut in for at least a month or two and hope the virus goes away by then.

From the first somnium, the left route either had Iris sawed in half or lose an eye early on. So hanging around with Iris who is completely fine in the other route (well, until her ending) felt very fresh and made the conspiracy stuff more bearable. This is why I felt going the left route first improved my experience with the game.

And yeah, maybe its a bit early to ask for your ideas. At this point the game hasnt given a lot of info yet and I was still very confused during my playthrough

Very interested to hear your guesses, like who committed the murders in the route, and on the first Cyclops Killers cases

The narration is a core part of the Kaguya manga and I think its a good decision to include it in the anime. Its playing it safe but cant think of what else they could have done really.

But Im so over these arguments on Kaguya now, its the same people and points every time, hope it doesnt start again when season 2 airs

Shrine somnium was great, it has some great music and an actual puzzle instead of only trial and error. Theres also another Somnium I like a lot but it comes much later into the game

I agree that the route youre on meanders a lot, especially with all the conspiracy theories. There are still a number of important hints though. I dont think this is a problem in the rest of the routes. All I can say is keep playing, the payoff is very worth it

There are usually two ways to pass a psync which lead to path splits

I think going for the left path first (the opposite of what you are on now) is a better way to experience the story, but thats just me.

Happy that Kaguya did well, though I was kind of hoping it wouldnt do such a clean sweep now that it is getting a second season. I dont think Kaguya x Shirogane is anywhere close to Best Couple if we go strictly by Season 1 for instance.

Then again I dont know how many awards Season 2 would be eligible for next year.
