If the server was down for a week straight then i might be able to see why people would be angry. But after 2 days everyone acts like it is the end of the world and rather than do something else like a normal person and just wait for the issues to be fixed they spend hours on end complaining. I......just don't understand it.

Could they have been better, probably but with a launch of a game that popular with everyone having to connect to online servers having a flawless launch was going to be impossible. People would have made just as big of a fuss if the downtime was only 1 hour at like 4am and to be honest i completely expected more downtime than there actually was. So yea launch could have been better but having the servers up for better than 75% of the first 2 days is good enough not to say it was a complete failure imo.

There is the standard 3 min delay no matter when you start spectating.

I used to be the same way until i got a roommate that knew how to cook and used onions all the time. By themselves i still can't stand them but they enhance the flavor of so many foods that outright not eating them is such a terrible choice.

There is no way they would force you to always be online to play any type of game, there would have to be some type of offline mode that you would be able to play after you registered a game to your account. You probably will need to have it connected to the internet to register the game, but having some type of internet connection to do that should not be a problem for anyone that is buying a $500+ next gen console and if it is then they really are doing things wrong. Getting rid of used games shouldn't be a huge deal if they are adding an online store as well since I'd fully expect a steam type system of them having sales or at least making older games around the price that used games sell at anyway. The only thing that really affects are the people who sell their games after they play them......and yea i guess that sucks for them.

Active as in started in the last year only about 5 with 2 being put on hold recently because ME3 just came out and that took priority over everything. As for passive, probably only about 15 or so with most coming because my PSX memory card got corrupted at one point erasing a ton of saves that i really never felt like playing the games again.
