I really enjoyed the first Last of Us game. I think the story was perfect, but at times the game play was lacking a bit. However, overall, I would rate the first game a 10/10. I would give it an A+ for the story and a B for the game play.

Now to the second game. I'm not finished with it, so maybe my opinion could change once I've completed it.

Here's what I like and dislike.

The second game improves a lot on the game play. It's way more fun to play and there's a little more variety on how you can take out your foes. The levels are also a lot larger. If you've played Uncharted 4 or Uncharted The Lost Legacy then you'll be familiar with how these mini open worlds work. Basically, you're put in this extremely large map giving you the feel of freedom. It's fun to explore and find items, but there are times when there's nothing interesting to find. You're just in this large map and walking around with really nothing interesting to see, so it works and at times it doesn't.

There are more chances to stealth kill enemies and although I've never tried, I'm sure you can sneak past some without even engaging in combat.

The story is a downgrade from the first game. There's just to much happening. Naughty Dog should have followed the KISS method. Keep It Simple Stupid.

The problem I have is they drop in these new characters who kill Joel, but there's no explanation. Joel's death didn't have an impact because you're just like what's going on? Who are these people? Oh, I have to play in order to find out. I really don't like those sort of stories. In my opinion, Naughty Dog should have just made the Last of Us 2 all about Abby and the WLF. The enemy in the game should have been the Scars and the focus should have been on building up Abby and giving her more of a background. I would have eliminated Joel and Ellie from the second story. I would have mentioned Abby's dad's death at the hands of a "mad man," but kept it on the down low until the end where we learn that Abby's dad was killed by Joel. Then in part 3 I would have started the game with Abby killing Joel and concluding the game with Abby vs Ellie. If I was really ambitious, maybe gamers get to choose a side Abby or Ellie in the third game. Anyway, I also hate the use of flashbacks in this game or any story. It especially gets pretty tiring in this story. It worked perfectly when Ellie and Joel wander the museum. That was a perfect moment to use one. And then it gets used with Abby. It goes back to about a few days ago and then it goes back 4 years ago and then it returns you back to 3 days ago and then it goes back to 6 months ago. Then it goes back to a few days ago then it goes back 3 months ago. Back and forth, back and forth. Which is why I think Abby should have just had her story told in part 2 instead of cramming all the information in a few hours.

Overall, the story isn't too bad. I feel like the Last of Us and the Last of Us 2 flipped. While the first Last of Us had an A+ story and B game play, in the Last of Us 2 the game play is an A, but the story is a B.

I would definitely play this game again and would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed the first game. Even if you didn't play the first game and you just love horror then you'll enjoy this game. I can't count how many times I felt tense and terrified after getting swarmed by a hoard of infected and didn't know which way to go because everything was so dark and some of the places look like mazes. It's so freaky when you're in a dark building and you hear the infected, but the only light you have is your flashlight which only shines light about 2 feet ahead of you. Then you check your ammo and you realize you're screwed.

...then we are living the Book of Revelations.

They worshiped the dragon who had given authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, Who is like the beast, and who can wage war against it? The beast was given a mouth to speak arrogant and blasphemous words, and authority to act for 42 months. And the beast opened its mouth to speak blasphemies against God and to slander His name and His tabernaclethose who dwell in heaven.

Literally three and a half months on the dot:

Then...

I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed. It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people, and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived. And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave,[e] to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.

Trump would be the first beast that was wounded, (maybe because of the way he handled everything; his reputation was put to shame) now Trump's presidency paved way for other celebs to take the mantle. The next crazy, Kanye West acts like a lamb, but speaks like a dragon and forces people to worship his friend Donald Trump.

Kanye's tweet:
We must now realize the promise of America by trusting God, unifying our vision and building our future. I am running for president of the United States.

https://twitter.com/kanyewest/status/1279575273365594112

Now we just need an asteroid to slam into earth.

Then the third angel sounded his trumpet, and a great star burning like a torch fell from heaven and landed on a third of the rivers and on the springs of water. The name of the star is Wormwood. A third of the waters turned bitter like wormwood oil, and many people died from the bitter waters.

I wouldn't say it was scary like Exorcist scary, but the part in Last of Us when you "fight" David.

I played it on Grounded and you only have one chance to get it right or start over. Basically you have to sneak up on David and stab him three times. The first two are easy, but on the third try he hides from you. It's hard because if he shoots you once then you are dead and at the same time he's running around hiding, waiting to sneak up on you.

In my opinion it would have made more sense for Ellie to be with Joel instead of Tommy. And Ellie suggesting to Joel they follow Abby to the cabin against Joel's wishes. This would have fallen in line with everything from the first game which was don't trust anyone. Just my two cents. I'll see how the story goes from here.

To me it felt natural that people would band together to create some semblance of a society instead of being wilderpeople forever. There's also evidence of it in the first game with Boston QZ and Tommy's settlement, whatever it's called.

Also I don't agree with your view on how Joel's death was handled, but to each his own.
The problem I have is that Joel was always suspicious about everyone in the first game. It's how he survived the Pittsburgh area that was full of bandits. I feel like Joel joining the group at the cabin and meeting everyone was out of character for him. I feel like he would have helped Abby and then left her somewhere, but never enter the cabin.

This is coming from someone who loved the first game and would rate the first game 10/10.

Here's my impression of the game so far.

If you liked the game play of the first game then you'll like the second. It plays pretty much the same. The combat didn't change much. They did add a dodge option when your fighting fist to cuffs which I find annoying. I had a system in the first game where I would punch out an enemy then run circles around them. It was also easy just to hit triangle right when they were about to hit me too. The second game has a dodge feature that -- for me at least -- makes it harder to not get hit. I would compare the combat change to Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3. It's not a major change, but it will make you change your strategy from the first game.

MAJOR SPOILERS
Alright, now for the story. I had already seen the spoiler saying Joel dies in the game, but I didn't know by who or when. I immediately stopped reading spoilers after learning that. Now, I just got to the part where Joel gets beat to hell and dies. Here's my problem with it. Joel is then baddest man on the apocalyptic planet. He survives getting shanked and who knows what else. He's Clint Eastwood in Dirty Harry or whatever else. However, the creators of the game fed the baddest man on the planet to these guys:

Maybe I'm exaggerating a little bit. Let me explain, the impression I got from the first game was that the world was shit and everyone was just tired as fuck. Nobody has nice clothes in the first game. Everyone looks like they haven't taken a shower in weeks. The Hunters look like all bearded homeless. The only groups that looked somewhat normal were the military and some of the Fireflies, but even they looked like shit. Their eyes looked all dark and crazy.

However, in the second game this new group of villains that jump Joel and his brother look like they just came out of 2020. One guy has a manbun another has a GQ style haircut. They look all fit like they've been eating right and working out.

I also feel as if this story lost its maturity There's people smoking weed, having sex, and making out in bars. The first game felt more focused on survival and trying to live in this new fucked up world with hardly any supplies for anyone. The second game is like alright things are somewhat normal now. There's movies, smoking weed, and other stuff to do. It feels weird to me.

I stopped playing for the night after Joel's death and I will see where the story goes from here. It's not the worst game so far, but story wise... they really should have used other characters for this new game. Joel and Ellie's story were done in my opinion. I feel like Naughty Dog just wanted to make a point that they could kill off any of their characters they wanted, but Joel's death didn't even feel natural in this game. I feel like it backfired.

https://www.msn.com/en-us/news/technology/mysterious-deep-space-radio-burst-sends-signals-every-157-days/ar-BB15fMXi?ocid=uxbndlbing

Astronomers announced this weekend that they've detected a mysterious fast radio burst coming from a dwarf galaxy three billion light-years away. The burst known as an FRB appears to be transmitting signals that reach Earth in a repeating, 157-day pattern, the group said.

The discovery marks just the second time ever that scientists have identified an FRB that repeats in a pattern. In February, scientists revealed that an object 500 million light-years away appeared to be transmitting signals every 16 days.

FRBs are bursts of radio waves in space that last just a millisecond. Some have been traced back to their home galaxies, but astronomers have yet to figure out what causes them.

...

The signals have mystified scientists ever since the first FRB was found in 2007. Some have wondered if FRB's could be a message from aliens and without more research, there's no way to know. Hundreds have been spotted, but only a handful have ever repeated themselves and they appear to come from locations all over the universe.

Why would I want to hide my work history?

Well, I used to work for this company and got tired of their BS, and went to a rival company and have settled, but now I'm dealing with the same BS and a crappy schedule. It's been about two years since I last left and the company I used to work for posted another job that's paying more money than the one I have and the schedule is better too.

I would like to apply for it. I left on good terms, but I know they'd be bitter if they found out I left to go to a rival company and wouldn't hire me.
