For all these gooners who have been patting themselves on the back for their little Steller Blade hashtags and petitions against Sony thinking they're achieving something with their whining, the contrast between that complete and total nothingburger culturewar BS and what happens when people ACTUALLY give a shit about something, like what is happening here, is so fucking extreme.

I read some Twitter posts related to Helldivers and was pained to see an overlap between the two by someone with presumably no understanding of anything.

I mean, Tsushima is releasing this month, so it'll be fine. Just replace it with whatever future Sony port.

30GB seems perfectly reasonable, though. 100GB installs can be justified with a lot of detail and/or audio but they shouldn't be the norm.

Some say its AI and others say its just a very bad localization that takes way too many liberties to the point of even changing character personalities. A few are probably the usual wahhh woke bad that plagues what feels like every new game release these days. Some of the image examples posted in that topic seem to be fairly different from what the Japanese translation would be like

One of the bundles had Batbarian. That's a pretty solid game.

Sorry for your loss. We had a black and white cat who was a former stray, and she was sick for quite a while. We got a specialized medicine prescribed for her even though the outlook was that it wouldn't give her much longer to live. Then one day she got worse suddenly. I tried to drive her to an emergency vet but she was gone by the time they looked at her. She may have been gone before I put her into the carrier, really, but I had to try.

While we're on the subject, I can't relate to bringing up specific examples to show the unreliability of critics on a genre, or saying hey, X got a worse score than Y, and Y wasn't even that good, so that's a bad sign for X, right? Critics are never reliable. A critic who likes something that isn't great might not like something that is great. Or they might like both things that you like and things that you dislike. And taking an aggregate of a bunch of critics won't tell you much at all.

It is quite nice-looking. Could probably be better on the "RPG" front, you know, combat, writing and all. The Messenger-style humor landed sometimes, and the dungeon design seemed like what people claim to like about Golden Sun, or maybe Wild ARMS.

I don't quite know what happened with Sea of Stars. It seemed to get a positive reception at launch, maybe before anyone but professional critics had given their evaluation, but since then I've seen it brought up pretty often as a go-to example of garbage. I didn't finish it. Wouldn't have called what I played terrible by any means, though.

Fast-travel usually covers that pretty well. The main QOL issue for returning after sidequests is having to walk. And Remake gave you a single chance right as soon as it was time, sometimes conflicting with other things you'd like to do in the proximity.

The loot is not as bad as in some of their games. There is a lot of it but you can look at it only occasionally without falling behind in power or running out of space. By comparison, Wo Long and Stranger of Paradise are like, "You cleared a mission, time to cull your inventory again because it's entirely full!"

It deserves better. It appears B-tier in its genres and doesn't have much draw other than to fans of prior Team Ninja games, primarily Nioh. But it's interesting. While not exactly a realistic portrayal of history, it lacks any of the monsters and sorcery ubiquitous in similar games, and while very janky (usually to its benefit), it's pretty clean and effective in design. And it's just plain fun.

It's an interesting question. Something as faithful as RE4make or RE2make would've done good numbers too, I think.

Ehh, while FFXVI might be damningly described as decent, XV is plain incompetent.

You could still take breaks. They may just not want to play one and then wait several more years for the next one to come out.

If you don't do any of the optional content, Rebirth really shouldn't take that long.

Granted, the optional content is a huge part of why Rebirth is great.

It is fun speeding through Hard Mode and skipping most stuff that doesn't give you SP manuscripts.

Anecdotally, a lot of people have commented on my FF7 Rebirth press event hoodie in public (neat) but at least a third have told me they are waiting for all three games to be out before they start, ha.

My friend told me this. Of course, he's also waiting for the PC ports, so it'll be even longer.

What, really? The twin pack cost the same on PSN at launch. I got it just to free Intergrade from PS+ dependency.

Without a specific reason to believe otherwise, I think someone found not guilty is entitled to being considered not guilty.
