After one google search for Mina the Hollower...just based on superficial reasons, I don't think a 2-D pixel furry game is going to 'wow' the game awards as a whole, even if the game ends up amazing. Those are negative modifiers.

The Shovel Knight pedigree ought to count for something.

William Adams of Nioh. He seems like a decent enough guy for a pirate, and also pirates likely aren't that picky, but he definitely isn't waiting 30 years.

Also only started 18 months before Nobunaga was done in. Either way, he was depicted a samurai in Nioh and probably lots of other stuff. While we're talking about other samurai games lately, everyone should play Rise of the Ronin.

All these systems need better methods for this. I guess I'm okay with throwing gameplay clips on Youtube.

The complaints I'm hearing about this seem like reason to wait a patch or two. I also never beat a single run of Hades.

I think it was just a PR mess that they didn't even have anything to gain from. It was incompetence all the way down from the beginning, and I'm almost surprised that someone there listened to reason.

30GB seems perfectly reasonable, though. 100GB installs can be justified with a lot of detail and/or audio but they shouldn't be the norm.

Some say its AI and others say its just a very bad localization that takes way too many liberties to the point of even changing character personalities. A few are probably the usual wahhh woke bad that plagues what feels like every new game release these days. Some of the image examples posted in that topic seem to be fairly different from what the Japanese translation would be like

One of the bundles had Batbarian. That's a pretty solid game.

Sorry for your loss. We had a black and white cat who was a former stray, and she was sick for quite a while. We got a specialized medicine prescribed for her even though the outlook was that it wouldn't give her much longer to live. Then one day she got worse suddenly. I tried to drive her to an emergency vet but she was gone by the time they looked at her. She may have been gone before I put her into the carrier, really, but I had to try.

While we're on the subject, I can't relate to bringing up specific examples to show the unreliability of critics on a genre, or saying hey, X got a worse score than Y, and Y wasn't even that good, so that's a bad sign for X, right? Critics are never reliable. A critic who likes something that isn't great might not like something that is great. Or they might like both things that you like and things that you dislike. And taking an aggregate of a bunch of critics won't tell you much at all.

It is quite nice-looking. Could probably be better on the "RPG" front, you know, combat, writing and all. The Messenger-style humor landed sometimes, and the dungeon design seemed like what people claim to like about Golden Sun, or maybe Wild ARMS.

I don't quite know what happened with Sea of Stars. It seemed to get a positive reception at launch, maybe before anyone but professional critics had given their evaluation, but since then I've seen it brought up pretty often as a go-to example of garbage. I didn't finish it. Wouldn't have called what I played terrible by any means, though.
