To be honest, the two games are totally the same. I can't even rightfully say that I think Larian did a better job, it's just clear they were given a much higher budget for that project.

The games are so similar though, I want a Shadowrun that is that high budget, with that much thought put into all the different ways you can approach everything. Whether it's got Harebrained or Larian's name on it.

They did a great job with the series and I especially liked Dragonfall, it's just been so long since we've gotten anything from them.

The author's whim didn't make her a core part of the story. The only thing she did was encounter Goku at the start, which someone else could have done (and was going to do sooner or later, as we see with Pilaf), and then she's just used as the butt of countless perverted, misogynist gags for the rest of her time in the series. Since she's only relevant for a very small part of the story at best, you can write her out entirely and nothing important would change.

You can't be important to a plot if the plot itself is unimportant lol. It's nothing more than an excuse to show fighting; if you're not fighting, then you're worthless in the series because you aren't what brings the money in.

The main reason I asked was because of Capcom's stance on mods after that Street Fighter 6 tournament with the Chun-Li mod. IIRC, they responded by putting additional DRM in their games that didn't have it before, not just SF6, so it seems to me like they're not as cool with mods as they once were.
