News yesterday was around 25 forest fires and in total around 60 fires going on. Right now.
One of the municipalities that's really badly affected is Ragunda in the northern part of the country. It's one of Sweden's poorest municipalities, yet it produces 5% of the country's electricity. I've seen calls on social media for people to volunteer if they're even remotely close.
One of the fires in Ljusdal has grown from 20 km yesterday to 80 km today.

Not talking about just you in particular but why is the goal always to be "good" at the particular activity? That's putting a lot of unnecessary pressure on something that should be about having fun and expressing yourself. Like TC says he wants to do creative things but he doesn't because he's quote unquote bad at it. That's terrible.

Yeah I'm just trying to relieve that pressure. To assure people that it's ok to make shit, everyone does that.

Just logistically, it makes no sense. If Elsa and Anna's parents were traveling from their home (Arendelle, which is analogous to Norway) to Corona (analogous to the Baltic region between German and Poland), a trip that wasnt going to take very long even in a sailing vessel (they said they'd be back in two weeks), there's no believable way for them to get shipwrecked and wind up in the central African forest.

Back on-topic, Moana ended up edging out Frozen as my favorite modern Disney film. Auli'i Cravalho impressed the hell out of me. The heart and vulnerability she gave to the character were incredibly mature takes for a 14-year old rookie actress.

There's an actual city in Norway called Arendal. I didn't know it was for real they were going to Corona? I thought that was also a fan theory. But anyway, just because the places are analogous it doesn't mean the world map in that universe is analogous.

All the criticism of Putin really hits the "both sides" nerve in me. Yes, Putin is indeed the boogeyman and a horrible strongman. Let's not deny that.

...but let's be clear about the fact that the US is not a lot better. Sadly Trump has a little bit of a point. The annexation of Crimea is more or less a direct response to the US expanding NATO and trying to more and more encircle Russia. When Ukraine starts flirting with NATO, of course he's gonna act. There's no excuse, but the US played a part as well.
And more broadly, the US meddles with a lot of other countries in the world quite boldly, and not very ethically. The 20th century is full of examples, and the 21st won't be a lot better. The industrial military complex is a huge beast. I know it's not the same, but sometimes people seem to think that America (or the west) are unequivocal good guys, when they're just as self-serving as anyone else in the world, they just happen to have the most power.

Wtf are you even talking about? People call Trump fat here like everyday. Also People like John Goodman and Trump are fat as fuck. The same criticisms leveled to fat women certainly should be leveled at them and other fat actors and celebrities as well though.

That's true, for Trump. When I was typing up my post, first I was gonna say "only", but then I thought of Trump. But when fat male actors/comedians etc are discussed, there's nowhere near the same amount of fat shaming than e.g., Rebel Wilson, Amy Schumer, Chrissy Metz, etc. I tested this a while back by making topics about some fatties like Kevin James, Michael Moore and some others. Very benign response.

Well a huge part of Munich was the fact that Hitler was given permission to annex new land. If this were really a Munich moment, we'd be telling Putin it would be okay for him to formally annex those separatist regions in East Ukraine for example.

And my point wasn't to say that this is exactly like the Munich moment. It's just to say that Trump seems to be buying Putin's lies. The analogy is that Chamberlain bought Hitler's lies. An analogy doesn't have to be two instances that match in every single aspect. But you know, the best part of jokes is when you have to explain them.
And hey, Trump shitting on NATO and saying that Russia should be part of G8 is indicative of him willing to forget the annexation of Crimea, so maybe the analogy is more apt than I intended?
