| shipwreckers 09/30/20 12:56:43 PM #1 | Our primaries, by their very design, funnel candidates down into extremes, and the moderates (you know, the ones who actually try to objectively and fairly consider all views, and actually give a damn about unity and open-mindedness) are left in the dust, with zero shot in hell of getting through the "primary" phase of the election (even though they would kick ass in the general election). Our first-past-the-post voting system isn't helping either, but honestly, if we could do away with the primary system, that alone would help on so many levels. --- Money is overrated... |
