I don't even know what your question really means, tbh. But yes, you need to own the stock already for this to be a good thing for you. Let's say Apple has 100 shares at 1 dollar each. They've sold 40 shares, and have 60 floating around for sale. They've made money, and decide to buy 50 shares themselves, and basically eliminate them. Now each share is worth 2 dollars.

This only benefits those who already owned shares.

There's also ways a company can offer to buy back owned stocks with a premium, but the end result is mostly the same. They create demand, shorten the availability of the stock, and this makes the price per share go up.

I don't recommend stashing cash at home for very long periods of time, because of inflation, but if you're not investing it or putting it into an account that accrues interest, then I guess it doesn't really matter where and how you keep it.

Open roads and cheap gas. I never stopped working, so driving from job to job and then home in a timely manner was the best part.

Drove over 3 and half hours to an area in the path of totality that wasn't obscured by clouds. It was worth it. Incredible to witness.

I've had moments of idiocy while driving, and I just assume that that's what's happening with the drivers around me.
