This needed to be a topic, especially since the game is officially out of beta today. The game has been in open beta for awhile, and is still free to play and still absolutely amazing.
Why play tribes? Aside from having nothing to lose, the game strives to revitalize a type of fps game that existed before the slow moving cover system laden tap button to win proliferated the market. This genre being fast paced skill based shooting.
Your character regularly moves over 100 kph (this is considered slow) and tries to hit other targets moving just as fast. Also jetpacks. For everyone. Fun.
