As opposed to the Kings who were a BELOW average team who got lucky enough to end the season in the playoffs at all?
I didn't pick the Canucks because I thought they were amazingly great. I picked them because I thought for sure the Kings didn't have the mental toughness to actually get the job done. I'm still not SURE they do. Up 2-0, going back to LA, there's a lot more pressure on them now than there ever was before...
I'm saying the series has always been a toss-up and I'm not confident that Vancouver is a "better" team than any of the others in the West. I won't be surprised if they lose the series (although a sweep would be interesting), and I won't be surprised if they come back and win it. If they can play a good 60 minutes there are few teams I would put over them, but they've shown that they're incapable of doing that this season, so I'm not sure why I should expect them to turn it on in the playoffs.
