I did defend it. My position is that space is cool, but overhyped. Basically the Final Fantasy VII of natural science.
FFVII hasn't been overhyped in years, if anything it's now under appreciated because it was the game that was 'cool' to hate like OoT and it's image has taken a beating because of post-TSW square whoring it out mercilessly
