People troll vcharon because he has been, in the past, absolutely insufferable. It's the same reason that people continue to troll Biolizard even when he isn't doing anything bad at the moment. There's too much history there.

Alright, well I can't say anything for the past other than the fact that like I said, I knew I had to be missing something. Whether knowing what that something was would make me more or less sympathetic to him doesn't really change the fact that being this relentless and obvious with him is just kinda boring IMO. Let him breathe a little; he isn't being insufferable now, is he?
