Sovereign will always be why I like the Reapers as a threat. They were best left an all-powerful mystery with motivations that weren't understood.
I'm pretty comfortable with Starchild's explanation of the Reapers, warped and "Yo dawg'd" as it may be. Say what we will about the rest of Starchild's stuff, but that never really got me at all. (I do respect your stance though and see your point.)

I'm talking the important of the important villains. Benezia and Kai Leng I wouldn't count because they're just the big bad's right hand man/woman.
Well fair enough then. But for a series like Mass Effect I don't differentiate much. Hell, if I were doing write-ups I'd throw in Balak and Kenson for cryin' out loud.
Shepard just kind of went all over the place, like a Starfleet captain unbound.
