For the sake of investing way too much time into this, I'm gonna list the arguments they had that I agree with:
Angry Birds: It's no longer a game. It's a ****ing marketing monstrosity.
Lego series: Why make Lego ____ when you can just make ____?
Kingdom Hearts: Spinoffs, remakes of spinoffs (seriously, wat?), but no KH3 yet?
Madden: NFL football is apparently an EA monopoly, meaning they have zero competition in the genre.
Final Fantasy: 95% of the people on this board agree that the series has been going downhill for the last decade.
Halo: Halo 3 was supposed to end the trilogy according to the developers. Then Microsoft sold the IP to someone else just so they could cash in on it.
Because it lets you pay homage to something you like, by applying a healthy dose of humor and flaw-poking while still reveling in all that makes ____ good. Not exactly rocket science, this one.
Basically, the only one I agree with is Madden, and only because of the monopoly argument. Everything is really dumb, because none of these franchises has gotten so bad that it can't be saved. Therefore, none of them are worth chucking.
