I take it you don't use Gmail or any other Google services then? Because that TOS applies to all of them.

Anyway, I think people are overreacting here. Nothing is going to happen to your stuff. Google is never going to argue control over your stuff. Google is never going to claim ownership of your stuff.


I do use Gmail and just said twice in this topic that I love Google's service and considered this to be the only thing I don't like about Drive. I am very familiar with all of their ToS and privacy policies, as the whole internet flipped out over their new unified system. That being said, you're absolutely wrong - the ToS for Drive is much different in the wording, or rather, the specific wording that I mentioned.

That being said, I agree with you that PEOPLE are overreacting here. I'm not one of them - because I'm not flipping out or anything like that. I think it's a flaw, a flaw that's stupid and makes me not want to use the service (but I am anyway).
