in fact all of the problems with this contest can be traced back to FFD having an increasingly hard time enforcing the rules when he needed to and reacting by changing them, ignoring them, or coming up with new ones. . . till it escalated to the point where he now feels he has to make up for it by mass banning a bunch of people and yet still being just as reluctant to dole out justified punishments as ever
