I've joined the Cracked workshop, but the problem I ran into is that new writers are encouraged to be focused on fact-based articles, yet the articles I routinely love reading are the more opinionated ones by established columnists (John Cheese and David Wong in particular). There's nothing wrong with either fact-based or opinion-based, but it feels odd to limit a writer to just one.
Ya...that happens a lot. The best thing to realize that you can still be interesting and funny in that format. Also, they get a million views with their nuetral voice. More than the columnists most days. It works out in the end.
