Sociopath? Not really. Don't overemphasize human rationality, because honestly most are emotional animals more than they would like to admit. We aren't as smart a race as we'd love to think. History is proof. We still find dirt holy.
I'm hoping she also loses her licence and gets heavily fined because just jail time seems rather tame unless the women's jail is far worse than I expected. And yeah, sociopath is a bit much even though she acted irrationally. Not to mention love does that to people. Doesn't justify it, but it's a very reasonable motive...
