I like the show. I wouldn't go to a convention or anything, but I'm looking forward to the second series.
I don't see the problem with them going to conventions though. I guess it's like fans of the Transformers movies going to BotCon or something. You gotta start somewhere with stuff like that.
The problem isn't them going to conventions. It's them going to conventions and ruining the experience of the people who've been fans of My Little Pony of over 20 years.
