Let's say you played White as the male character, so if you want the sequel to that game, you need White 2.
If you want the male character from White to be the champion, you have to play as the male character in White 2.
But what happens if you choose to play as the female character in W2? Then Hilda will be the champion, but if you played as Hilbert in White, she shouldn't even exist!
Something like that.
it's super not a big deal... pretending the main character from B/W doesn't exist would be a way bigger deal
