I don't know, it's always something I "believed" since I was a kid. 40 seemed really old to me at the time and it seemed like a number where at that point, I figured I would have gotten everything under control. Probably that's not going to be the case lol.

Nah, that's not it. You just don't want to be 40 right now. To you, a 20 year old, 40 is such a big number that you don't even understand how much time that will take. You haven't experienced even five years of life yet with your mind at about its max potential. 20 seems impossibly long. I used to have this fear of getting old because I had so much left to do with my life. I still do, but now I realize that the time it takes me to get older isn't being wasted with a blank space, but I will help fill it with my own accomplishments and memories.

Don't think about the future too much, it can give you a headache.
