Or more specifically it's only got 62 episodes you need to watch, then there's the manga as well.
It has 95 episode or are you saying everything after 62 doesn't really count?
62 is the end of the Kyoto arc, and right after that it's into a particularly bland filler zone for the rest of it until it got canned. When I recommend Kenshin to people, I don't recommend 95 episodes, but those 62 eps are the best. (And also the manga, which has a third arc that rules)
