Follow-up question: does Capcom actually believe this nonsense, or are they just saying it to save face?
They're saying it because a company more or less cannot admit to its stock holders that it lost money because of poor decisions. "It was due to unforeseen fluctuations in the market" is a pretty common line to hear variations of.
