Yeah, Aran is possibly the best unit for BEXP in the game due to how fast he caps three of his stats. Despite his low official speed growth I managed to cap speed for him on tier 2 in both of my playthroughs.
Also if you give him Paragon in 3-6 it's not uncommon for him to pick up 10 levels.
