Chapter 8 – How To Defeat The Wind Slash Attacks.
“It's pretty simple. How can I become the revolutionary to take down the WR if I can't even beat some piece of **** like you?!” Chris said.
“How can you become the revolutionary to take down the WR when you don't even have a special ability?” SEP replied.
“It doesn't matter.” Chris said sounding confident. “I can beat you this time.”
“Are you fooling yourself, or have you actually figured something out?” SEP said curiously.
“Find out yourself.” Chris said and started running towards SEP. This is a risk, but it should work.
SEP started launching his wind slash attacks against Chris just like last time. Chris attempted to dodge them without slowing down. That didn't stop SEP, though, and as Chris came closer he started getting hit the same way as before.
“What are you doing!?” SEP asked.
“I'm not giving up!” Chris said still running towards SEP. As he got very close, SEP's attacks started landing direct hits. However, Chris didn't stop. He continued to run towards SEP, even though he was in pain, and then...
“What the ****!?” SEP said shocked. “You're way too reckless!” Chris had gotten hold of SEP's sword. Blood was dripping from his body. Then he looked up at SEP with a very serious expression.
“Don't you dare think you could ever defeat me!” Chris said.
They both had hold of the sword and tried taking it away from each other. SEP was surprised at Chris' strength, being shorter and nowhere near as broad as SEP was. However, SEP had the edge; he was pulling it upright so that Chris would not be able to reach it. Desperately struggling, Chris came up with a new plan.
“Take this, you bastard!” Chris yelled as he jumped, while still holding the sword as tight as he could. Then he swung towards SEP and kicked him in his stomach. Chris got he feet back on the ground and pulled the sword towards himself - SEP couldn't keep his hold of it any longer. SEP laid on the ground.
“That's it then.” Chris said. “Without this sword, you can't use your special ability. Am I right?”
SEP looked at him, angrily.
“I take that as a yes.” Chris concluded. “I may not be the best at wielding swords, but you're defenseless.”
Chris lifted his sword, ready to slice SEP open. But suddenly he stopped in midair.
“ARGH!” Chris yelled.
One of the townspeople had picked up the knife they attempted to kill SEP with and had stabbed Chris in back. His idea was to hit the heart, but he was so nervous that his arm was shaking too much, and thus he didn't hit accurately.
“I... I'm sorry.” The guy said, still shaking in fear. “Our lives depended on this.” He then pulled the knife back out. For a moment Chris didn't move, then he dropped the sword and turned around.
“What the hell are you doing?!” Chris yelled. The man was shaking even more, as he was shocked that Chris was alive.
“Please don't kill me! I didn't want to. I didn't have a choice. We were ordered to do this.” He said. Then a wind slash attack landed a fatal blow on him, as it hit his throat. Chris turned around. SEP had picked up his sword.
“Who were you trying to hit there?” Chris asked. Blood was dripping down from his back.
“Him. I don't miss targets when they're that close.” SEP replied.
