Almost all the chi blocker attacks can be disabled with airbending, too.
It's actually kind of clever how badly Tenzin always beats up on the Equalists. Considering that they wouldn't be particularly well prepared for airbending what with the fact that there's like four in the entire world.
I don't know if the writers did it on purpose, but I like it.
