I'd rank Metroid above ZM too. ZM is certainly the more accessible and stress-free game to play, no doubt about that, but it feels a bit sterile in my opinion, it suffers from a lot of the linearity issues that Fusion had (albeit with more subtlety and less Adam yapping at you) and I don't feel like it has a lot of personality on its own. Metroid is a flawed but fascinating classic that deserves more credit than it gets. Hell, if you take out the starting with 30 health thing which is absolutely awful, I don't even think it's a bad game, I think it's fun when you're not farming health.
