I gotta say, I don't really get this kind of thing, where somebody can't dig other people not liking, say The Beatles.
Everybody has different taste in music and everything else, sure since the Beatles were influential and whatnot some people think you have to like them, but it's not any more important than liking or disliking anything else.
For example, Citizen Kane is just an okay so-so flick in my book, but hey I respect Welles. And yes, I've been in film classes, I understand why it was influential and had new techniques and everything and what it's going for. Doesn't make it automatically good by everybody's taste. Same with the Beatles.
Pretty much, either you get that everybody has different taste in entertainment/art and that's a good thing, or you don't.
