Sweet, that was what I was hoping for.
The fact that it forces people to have it rather than just providing an option for everyone is what annoys me about the bill.
In a world where if you get sick, go to the hostpiral and dont pay, the costs get passed onto taxpayers and/or increase the cost of healthcare, we NEED an individual mandate in the same way all people who drive need at least SOME form of insurance.
Real reform wouldve been instituting some form of universal healthcare, but this countrys too conservative for that, so were stuck with a less than ideal solution to a real problem.
