To me Cinderella is the good version of Tiana. She does hard work without mentioning it every other line of dialog like Tiana does.
"Speaking of Dr. Facilier summoning demons to ruin Naveen's life, he couldn't have done that without HARD WORK! HE'S JUST LIKE ME IN THAT REGARD GUYS HAVE I EVER TOLD YOU ABOUT HOW I'VE WORKED HARD MY ENTIRE LIFE?!"
You know what the difference is?
Tiana works to build up something she cares for, and there's pride in that.
Cinderella works because she's forced to do so, there's just shame in that.
Tiana has a supportive mother around and lives in a context where she's free of speaking her mind.
Cinderella lives in a context where insubordination would be harshly punished.
You would see why one would talk about her hard work and the other wouldn't.
