The First Phase
[Note: 1 = Success, 2 = Passive, 3 = Death]
"go home?", lefty says in disbelief. "I'm not going home till I get paid!" With that, he stomps over to the doormat and checks under it to see if one of the Mind-Eaters was foolish enough to leave the key under the mat. Meanwhile, the Machete Guy trundles over in a drunken stupor and starts pissing on the door[2].
JORGE KIELBASA SANCHEZ can be heard trying to sell the door a used car, to no effect [2].
Meanwhile, bananor thinks of a better plan. "I'll just ascend to Godhood and blast the door down!", he announces. He begins to call upon the powers of various deities that are native to this foreign realm. They think about it for a moment and, since bananor seems like a pretty chill guy, decide he can totally become a God. His body is suddenly vaporized by cosmic energy as he ascends to the realm of the Gods [3].
Maniac equips his helmet. But it doesn't fit [2].
Regaro walks over to the door, stepping over lefty. He takes out his lockpicking kit. "Watch a master thief at work." He inserts his lockpick into the keyhole, triggering a poison needle trap. Regaro tumbles over backwards clutching at his chest as he dies from intense poison [3].
Ryoko asks, "Why don't we just try to open the gate?" [2].
Just then, lefty sucessfully obtains the key from under the doormat [1].
"huh", everyone collectively utters. lefty inserts the key into the lock, not having to worry about the trap that Regaro triggered. The party takes up formation and enters the dready hallway of the ground floor of the Tower of the Mind-Eaters.
JeffRaze had been attempting to build a device to take down the door, but lefty already opened it. JeffRaze obtained the Science Blaster [1].
swordz9 attempts to intimidate the door by acting like Dark Mac, and dies from shame [3].
Tom Bombadil attempts to kick down the door, but it's already open. He jumpkicks down the hallway [2].
Up ahead, the screaming and wailing of tortured jackals can be heard from the depths of the dungeon. The corridors are lit with dim candles. The party advances about 50 yards before coming to a T junction. A loud thundering sound can be heard coming from the right hand side.
A moment later, lefty and Maniac return from scouting.
"Seems like there's a troll guarding the chamber to the right.", lefty reports.
"The other passage is flooded with water. It might be possible to dive under and find a way through. . .", Maniac reports.
JORGE KIELBASA SANCHEZ barks, "Or we could think of a more creative way to advance!"
[Note: It is possible to split up with other party members but if you are alone you must roll a success yourself to advance. If the party stays together, those who are grouped will advance even with a 'Passive' roll (as in this case, if only lefty rolled a success everyone who didn't die would be able to follow him. Basically, you can choose to split up from the rest of the group if you wish but it's not always a good idea.)]

Bananor - Ascended to Godhood at Level 1, causing his physical body to be vaporized. Died in the First Phase.
Regaro - Died while attempting to pick a lock at Level 1. Died in the First Phase.
swordz9 - Attempted to mimic the evil patron Dark Mac and was killed for his insolence. Died in the First Phase.
