Then I'd do this easily for $2 million. It's such a win-win. I pay off this house, put a down payments on a Cali house for my parents, keep a couple hundred grand for expenses, and invest the rest in real estate as a passive partner. With only 20 hours of work to worry about, most of my time is freed up for whatever I want. I can go to the gym daily, get my Masters for the hell of it, have fun every damn night, and never have to worry about the pressures of a career. Hell, with a house paid off, 20 hours at a minimum wage job is enough to cover most monthly expenses here in Vegas, so my investment income will be gravy and I can live the good life forever.
Wait, until I DIE? Why can't I retire at 65?
