Aside from Origin, which is only recent, name one other DD service that could ever compete with Steam.
Direct2Drive and Gamestop both offer DD, as well as Origin.
It doesn't matter either way.
You can't complain about someone having a monopoly when the only reason is because nobody else is doing it well.
But then again you're so horribly and baselessly anti-Valve it's funny so I can just end this here.
