...except not, because that is a Game Gear game and what I have is quite clearly a Game Boy game. I actually just picked it up and played it again very recently, which amazed me because I could have sworn that the GBA was only backwards-compatible as far as GBC games and this was an original GB game. Of course, a quick comparison of cartridge shapes shows that games made for the original GB and those made for the GBC but playable on the original GB had the exact same shape, and the differences in shape between those games and the ones that only worked on a GBC or better were at the end that wouldn't even have contact with a GBA, so there's really no reason why they shouldn't work.
