679 of the most popular fictional characters in the world have gathered together to let Board 8 decide who among them is the Most Excellent! The characters stem from all corners of the media world including; Films, TV Shows, Cartoons, Anime, Disney, Videogames, and Literature.
Only 10 remain! The finale of MEFCC will be a Round Robin Tournament. This will ensure the most accurate ranking of the top ten. Every day there will be 5 matches. Simply vote for the character you like best. Each character will have to face every other character in singles combat before the end of the round. The character with the best overall record will win, and all subsequent characters will be ranked according to the records that they amass.
Underlying Rules:
I will try to create as much suspense as can be allowed with this round. In order to do this I have a simple formula. The first matches will be randomly assigned. But after that, I will pit the best records against the worst records for as long as possible. Hopefully, this will set up a finale on the 9th day between the best and second best records. I am aware that the disparity between 1st and 2nd might be records of 8-0 vs. a record of 5-3. I am also aware that today could be the day that the best character is facing the second best character and no one would be the wiser until a few days into the tournament. But for interest’s sake, I’ll hope that’s not the case. I’m sure with all the great talent left in the final ten that at least two will shine through to create a great final match!
After the round is over we will be left with a clear winner. In the event of a tie at the end of this round between records, the head to head competition will decide who gets ranked higher. In the event of three way tie or more at the end of the round (with no clear winner) the difference in vote totals will decide who is placed above whom. This round will last 9 days. Days will last 24 hours. There will be no vote changing allowed. No rallying or alt voting will be allowed.
