Right, and this is a video game site. Submit a poll to IMDB.com about movie characters. If GameFAQs has a bonus-poll or or PotD that connects them together, cool -- I too would like to see Link face Batman once -- but that's it.
You must also be talking about Strider, who's at least mainly known as a video game character. We also haven't seen him since nominations opened, and I think SB once responded to a feedback ticket saying he won't return to another contest.
I don't think a consensus was ever reached about how to handle religious characters in such a premise, either. If the premise ever happens here, my interest will immediately go to whether or not God is allowed.
I can continue to argue, but it's tiresome and we know our stances too well. My ultimate enjoyment from the contests comes from seeing how the gaming demographic changes each year when it comes to their favorites in the medium, and video games are THE unifying factor among us all. Close matches, one-on-one, comebacks, newcomers...all of that is fantastic, but it's been fantastic to me because I enjoy the video game fanbases the most.
