The Zelda series might as well be the Sonic series at this point.
It has nothing to do with evolution, and more to do with ruining his character that was built for the pasts 25 years. Link is suppose to be a silent type character. He never talks. Ever. Like he doesn't say a single line.
Series can evolve as much as it likes, but there is no reason to change a character because now you can implement voice acting(see Sonic). And like I said I welcome voice acting for everyone , except for Link, because you know, they actually have some lines to say.
