Literally the only time I have gotten excited about Astonishing since Whedon left (not counting Armor...existing anywhere, since every other book seems to not even acknowledge her) was when Wallflower appeared and I was like "Oh my god Wallflower is back" and then on the next page she EXPLODED INTO A MEAT MOUNTAIN.

And I can safely say that that was the first and last time the phrase "**** YOU WARREN ELLIS!" will ever be thought by me.

That WAS pretty funny, but man that thing was so decompressed. That damn action scene took up the first 1 1/2 half issues, and the payoff was terrible. Not to mention it took Jimenez off the otherwise great "American Son" story arc ASM AND it took like, a f***ing year for the whole thing to come out.

It's funny and a little sad seeing books that were specifically made for a popular creator just kinda limp on afterwards with no real direction. It happen to Spider-Man after Macfarlene left, it happened to Sensational Spider-man once Jurgens left after only 6 issues(he got tired of all the editorial interference and s***ty stories, basically, damn you 90s Spider-Man), it happened to Batman and Robin when Morrison left(although I guess that was the Dick/Damain team-up book? It never really had a consistent team or direction after Grant left though), now its happening to Astonishing X-men.

There's 8 f***ing X-men team books come November. Just cancel Astonishing, Legacy(since Carey's leaving), X-men, and just call it a damn day.

It will launch for $350 with some Wii Sports s***. I bet my life on it. Damn, that KoolAid guy is awesome - NGamer64
