Oh, I know FFIX is overshadowed by most of the other FFs in its vicinity (If only because 7, Tactics, 8, 9, 10 is a pretty brutal run, moreso if you tack 6 onto the end there), I'm just saying personally I don't really "get" the high amount of love for it here. But then, that battle system is just way too slow for my liking. If you could turn the ATB up to around 4x max speed, I think my opinion of FFIX would increase a fair amount. Still likely to be my least favorite mainline FF (Well, out of 4, 6-10, and 13) but it'd be closer I think.
