What this is: A Summ- err, Autumn-long power struggle for B8 fame, street cred, and possible prizes (like maybe stuff on iTunes or Steam). This is a 3-month long game hosted on B8 and AIM by me where players compete against one another in challenges, vote to evict one another from the game each week, and ultimately (and hopefully) have fun along the way. In the end, only one player will be left standing to claim the title of Board 8 Big Brother winner and the possible prize that goes with it. It's mostly about the title though.

Where it's happening: This game will be hosted on Board 8 in its own topic, but a large majority of the game will also occur on AIM. Challenges will oftentimes occur on AIM unless stated otherwise, though occasionally they may happen on this board, or another one.

Who will be playing? YOU. Hopefully. All you have to do is agree to the terms I provide, respect my wishes, and sign-up in this topic. Keep reading for more details.

When will it start? The game will start as soon as I can get a certain number of players on board. From there, I'll notify all competitors privately on when the game will begin. I'm aiming to start it next week at the earliest.

This game is completely based on the CBS reality TV show "Big Brother". If you're not a fan of the show, don't worry. You don't need to be a fan, or have ever watched the show to sign-up. While I would recommend watching a recent season, it's by no means necessary at all for the competitions or the game. Newbies are welcome!

So... how does it work? Well, if you DO know the show, then you'll already know the general format. For the most part, everything from the show translates to this game in some way. Regardless, the weekly format below details how everything will unfold week by week, day by day.

---[Weekly Format]:---

Each week a "Head of Household" competition will be held either on AIM or on GameFAQs. The winner of this competition will be crowned the "HoH" for the entire week, holding all the power. This competition will most likely occur on a [Thursday] night. Everyone is expected to show up for these competitions.

By [Friday] night, the player who was crowned Head of Household must nominate TWO other players for "eviction" - to be removed from the game. The HoH will essentially be given around 24 hours to make their decision. When they have made their decision on who to nominate, they will then message me (via PM/AIM/email - in private) who they are keeping safe, in what order they are keeping these players safe, and who the two players being nominated are. If you are HoH, you are basically deciding which players you want to keep safe by giving them their key to the house for that week. The "order" in which you hand out the keys matters, so don't forget it.

After nominations go up, either on Friday night or [Saturday], I will ask the HoH and the two nominees to randomly give me a number - this number will then decide who plays in the next competition on Sunday night - the Power of Veto competition.

On [Sunday] night (most likely), another competition will happen - the "Power of Veto" competition. The HoH, the two nominees, and 3 other players selected at random (via the numbers provided) will partake in this competition - 6 players total. If you aren't selected, you don't need to show up. If you are HoH/nominated/selected at random, you do. I will alert you if you have been selected. Be sure to pay attention for this.

Whoever wins this competition will win the "Power of Veto (PoV)" which gives the winner the power to remove one of the nominees from the chopping block. The winner of the PoV will also be immune from eviction for the week. The PoV may be used on yourself if you have been nominated.
