Buffalo, New York. I've only been through there on Greyhound buses (because who would go there for any other reason?), but what I've seen of the city looks awful. It seems like it got developed and then abandoned, with ****ty decrepit buildings all over the place and tons of hobos. Rochester, New York is in the same boat. Also Cleveland.

New Jersey seemed crappy the only time I've been through there, but I was 9 years old so I'm sure my memory is fuzzy. All I remember was smog and smoke and smokestacks and metal towers and wires everywhere. I made the decision right then and there to think that Jersey is a ****ty state for the rest of my life. Jersey Shore has only confirmed my youthful suspicions.
