No, you're the one who's missing the point. The economic argument against the death penalty is inherently flawed, because the death penalty IN AND OF ITSELF is not economically disadvantageous. The way we choose to go about it is, but that way could be changed. Texas could change the law and say that as soon as someone is sentenced to death, they pull out a pistol and shoot him in the head that very second. Then it would be MUCH cheaper.
